Poppers

Am busy tying up a batch of Poppers for an order at the mo which are going to be used on Snakeheads out in Thailand. These have been working really well for me the last few days on Pike and make a hell of a lot of commotion on the surface.

Very nice Simon! Do you fish alot of poppers during summer? Is it any particular time of day that they work extra good?

Cheers!
Ulf

Thanks Ulf,
I try fish early morning dawn and dusk with poppers although at the moment here on the island we have 24 hrs day light so some evenings I fish until 02h00. During the summer I try and fish deep with fast sinking weighted head flies. I don't have a fast sink line just a floating and mainly use an intermediate. During the summer though I generally fish the drop off areas 6 to 10 m from reed beds and over under water reed patches with poppers and it can be quite productive if you persevere with it.
