A South african living on Replot island, Korsholm, Finland
Pike on the fly is an addiction which has slowly consumed my life to an extent that I'm never truly happy until Ive caught my next one especially if its with a new fly I've tied. This blog is dedicated to pike on the fly in the northern hemisphere.
I run the wire tippet through the front out the back then twist the wire and heat shrink it onto the hook. Then lightly slide the hook back into the tube. Am finding more and more advantages since using tubes. The most noticeable is the fly usually pops off the hook and slides up the wire leader once I have a fish on. Yesterday I had to 3 or 4 kilo jacks give me a great little scrap and you wouldn't have known I had used the flies at all.
