I was playing around a few weeks ago with some old popper heads I had and tied up a nice slider for this spring. I started with the popper head 1st.Painted it silver,stuck a couple of eyes on and then Bug-bonded it on to a long shank 6/0 hook. for this and tied pretty much one of those "Banger patterns" behind the head except I added 10 Chartreuse Ostrich hurl feathers just for a little more movement.

It must be a real pleasure for you to tie your own flies.
I have a fancy that I'll get some chartreuse herl for some bass patterns.... not that many saltwater patterns over here have it BUT has to be tried...
